Special Exhibits The World Golf Hall of Fame opened a special exhibition in tribute to one of golfs greatest ambassadors in conjunction with the 2008 World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony this November 2008. Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory features over 400 artifacts, 300 images, a special audio tour, and nearly 2 hours of video shown on monitors throughout the display which celebrates Hope's career in entertainment, his relationships with U.S. Presidents, his devotion to the men and women of the military, and his love of golf. The World Golf Hall of Fame's special exhibit Jack Nicklaus: Golfs Golden Champion celebrates the stories of The Golden Bear's benchmark career in golf and his successful career and life off the course. The annual World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place Monday, Nov. 10 at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. The 2008 Class of Inductees included Bob Charles (Veterans Category), Pete Dye (Lifetime Achievement), Carol Semple Thompson (Lifetime Achievement), Denny Shute (Veterans Category), Herbert Warren Wind (Lifetime Achievement), and Craig Wood (PGA TOUR Ballot), who were all welcomed in to the Hall of Fame by an international contingency of family, fans, friends, fellow Hall of Fame members and media.
