Induction Each year, the World Golf Hall of Fame adds to its membership of over 120 by inducting the greatest players and contributors in the game of golf. The 2008 Induction process is underway and on May 6 at THE PLAYERS Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, the first inductee was announced: golf course architect Pete Dye (Lifetime Achievement). Additional members of the 2008 Class will be announced at the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines in June and Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in July. Stay tuned! The 2008 World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. on the Hall of Fame Lawn at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla.The 2007 World Golf Hall of Fame's annual Induction Ceremony was held on November 12. The 2007 Class of Inductees consisted of Joe Carr (Lifetime Achievement), Hubert Green (Veteran's category), Charles Blair Macdonald (Lifetime Achievement), Kel Nagle (Veteran's category), Se Ri Pak (LPGA point system), and Curtis Strange (PGA TOUR ballot).
